The importance to Northern Ireland of the Republic of Ireland and our other close neighbours in the European Union means we need to invest time and effort into continuing existing relationships and forging new ones with these jurisdictions  The UK Government has announced (Friday 12 June 2020)  that it will not seek an extension from the European Commission of the transition date from 31 December 2020.  There is no single market for financial services planned.  Regulated fintech in Northern Ireland and those that service the market, including unregulated fintech and advisers need to know what is going on in Ireland and Europe.  Thus we at Fintech Northern Ireland is supporting this event and ALL Fintech Ireland events.

Details: The outcomes of this event include:

• sharing with the audience some of the output from the Fintech Ireland Survey,
• giving an update on the fintech ecosystem
• hearing from Irish payments, regtech and blockchain experts about growing international businesses from Ireland, 
• a brief update on the Ireland for Finance strategy, and
• as will be discussed during the Panel, the importance of Irish fintech attendees to have their voices heard in Europe by completing the European Commission's Consultation on a new digital finance strategy for Europe / Fintech Action Plan which closes on 26th June.
